We took the opportunity to ask our UK distributor Bondeye some questions about their day to day work and what ROAV styles and colours were driving customers to their partners stores.

Tell us about Bondeye the company and the team behind it..
Bondeye is a family run wholesaler and distributor of Consumables, Equipment and Nutraceuticals, currently serving the UK and Ireland. Our core purpose is 'To supply the best optical products in the friendliest and most helpful way' and we are proud to work, live, eat and sleep optical supplies.
How did the relationship between ROAV and Bondeye start?
We met the ROAV team at MIDO - Milan Eyewear Show in 2018 and instantly fell in love with the brand.
What type of optical practices are stocking ROAV sunglasses? Mainly high end independent opticians / stores.
How would you best describe ROAV sunglasses to a new customer? The world's thinnest folding frame. Fits neatly into your pocket to take wherever you go.
ROAV boasts a fantastic selection of both ophthalmic frames and sunglasses, with modern shapes, styles and colours. They all proudly support their unique features of the specially designed, screwless folding parts.
What ROAV model or collection is currently most popular with the optical stores?
The Balto frame seems to be the biggest hit with customers. The round frame seems to be a popular choice.
Can you describe a typical working day at Bondeye?
This varies for each department but my typical working day being a lead designer consists of updating products on the website, running promotions and press adverts, photographing products, creating campaigns and keeping on track with social media accounts.
Working with great brands such as ROAV makes my life very easy with the incredible product range and lifestyle images.
How has the COVID pandemic affected business and the way you operate?
We have diversified our product range and its has allowed us to focus more on online activity - obviously due to not being able to get out an meet our customers as we usually would.
What do you enjoy most about working in the optical industry?
We have a great range of customers, we love doing optical events and shows and meeting people face to face which we hope to be doing more of now. We love to focus on brands and getting them out into the UK market especially brands as fantastic as ROAV.
